Meet The Team
Head of Operations
Our Head of Operations is a seasoned pharmaceutical quality professional with over 15 years of experience in quality control, assurance, auditing, and regulatory compliance within GMP-regulated environments. His past experience includes developing test methods for allergen detection and herbal product identification using NIR and HPTLC, managing regulatory submissions, and serving as SME during audits from Health Canada and the USFDA. He also has hands-on expertise in lab instrument validation (Empower, LIMS), computer system validation, and instrument operation (HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, etc.). His operations-focused leadership, regulatory experience, and technical quality background make him the ideal candidate to oversee day-to-day operations and implement scalable systems at Unicorn Analytical Services Ltd.
Chief Microbiologist
Our chief microbiologist brings over 14 years of diverse experience in pharmaceutical, cannabis, cosmetic, and natural health product testing, with deep expertise in microbiological and regulatory quality systems. His background includes leading roles in microbiology, sterility assurance, and quality control at various organizations from startups to multinational corporate companies. Experienced in designing microbiology labs from the ground up, including cleanroom validation and method development for sterility testing. Ability to combine scientific expertise with strategic business development is a major asset to Unicorn. The technical depth, regulatory experience, and leadership make him exceptionally well-suited to oversee the microbiology division and regulatory compliance efforts of Unicorn Analytical Services Ltd.
Chief Chemist
Our chief chemist has 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry with a focus on Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance. Her career spans roles with top Canadian and global companies where she has demonstrated leadership in internal audits, SOP management, GMP training, and regulatory preparedness for Health Canada and FDA inspections. She has hands-on expertise in analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, ICP, FTIR), CAPA implementation, deviation handling, and GMP documentation. Her experience also includes teaching chemistry and conducting lab audits, validations, and compliance training. The technical depth, regulatory experience, and leadership make her exceptionally well-suited to oversee the chemistry department of Unicorn Analytical Services Ltd.
Regulatory Affairs and Quality
Our Quality and Regulatory department have multiple years of experience across the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. Leading internal and external audits, expertise in CAPAs, SOPs, and compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and MDSAP standards. QA leads QMS implementation and regulatory compliance with Health Canada and FDA regulations, including Device License renewals and PMS reporting. Analytical approach and audit readiness make it instrumental in ensuring Unicorn’s success in accreditation and regulatory inspections.
